A Seat at the Table

Updated: Jan 7, 2020

What does it mean to have a seat at the table? Does it mean you have power? Does it mean you enjoy the privilege of making decisions for someone else? Does it mean that you get to eat? This has so many nuances that I don’t even know where to begin. For some of us, we don’t even know if the seat is worth the fight. Oh yeah, people are fighting over seats at THAT table. Seats of position and power. Seats of privilege and money. Seats of faux beauty and establishment. Seats that can’t speak to the real issues.

You get this seat. Now what do you do with it? Do you sit? Do you stand up? Do you share the seat with another? Or, do you eat and be compliant? What works best for you? What pleases your space at this time? What.Shall.You.Do? Let explores how YOUR seat at the table could change your life and the lives of others.
